Organization of four workshops of the Partnership Management Committee

- definition of the role and responsibilities of all partners
- drafting and signing Partnership Agreement
- preparation and approval of working plan for the respective project period
- definition of conditions for selection procedure for short-term and long-term study stays for Afghan students and academicians
- drafting and approval of the key project documents, reports, agreements, etc.

Current results
The
first workshop of the Partnership Management Committee was held in March 2008 bringing together representatives of the key partner institutions.
The project goal, objectives and activities were discussed and responsibilities were defined and approved for each partner organization including financial obligations. As the main results of the workshop, Partnership Agreement was drafted and signed by all partners and European and Asian universities presented possibilities and conditions for short and long-term study stays of Afghan students and teachers.
The
second workshop was held at the AIT in Bangkok in February

The third Partner management workshop was held in Vienna, in January 2010. The workshop was organized by Vienna University of Technology, Austria. The workshop was focused on evaluation of the project implementation, effectiveness and impact of short-term trainings, scientific seminars, conference, and study stays of Afghan university teachers and Master degree study of Afghan students in Slovakia, Thailand and Vienna and specification of activities for the third year of project implementation.
In the framework of the workshop the seminar was organized with focus on university management, processes, financing and sustainable development of university education. The main objective of this specialized seminar was to share best practices and expertise among the partners and transfer of know-how to Afghan partner universities. Forth workshop of partnership management committee. Was held at the Herat University in Heart Afghanistan on April 20, 2011. The workshop was focused on evaluation of the project implementation, effectiveness and impact of short-term trainings, scientific seminars, conferences, and study stays of Afghan university teachers and Master degree study of Afghan students in Slovakia, Thailand and Vienna. The workshop was connected with a scientific seminar on Energy and environment. Where was presented together 13 presentations. The seminar was held by participation of 150 participants.
